Spring and Your Brand

Posted by coalescemarketing on May 4, 2011

As I drove into work today, I couldn’t help notice how brown everything still was.  No wonder with the nasty weather we’ve been having in the Fox Valley, spring hasn’t exactly had the chance to arrive.  Happily, just like it always does, spring will be here soon.  Seemingly out of nowhere, the trees will be filled with leaves and flowers will be blooming.  It will be a wonderful time of new growth!

Just like spring, a brand that hasn’t had the opportunity to reach its potential can “suddenly” make itself know as well.  Similar to the season change, it takes the right mix of elements for a brand to take full effect and make its statement in the world.  Unfortunately Mother Nature isn’t driving your brand’s recognition like she drives the new seasons.  This means it’s up to you and your marketing partner to figure out your company’s most ideal marketing mix. Know your product, customer, company and competition intimately and you will be able to form a marketing strategy and determine the “right mix of elements”.  While this is not created overnight, a marketing strategy in full effect will help your brand take market share at a much faster rate than one without.

At the end of the day, there are individual steps that can be taken to build your brand gradually over time.  If you’re like me, you don’t want to wait for results any longer than you have to.  So my suggestion, develop and implement a strategy and watch your business spring forward!
